The boundary between web & desktop is blurrring rapidly
GigaOM » The Coming Apollo vs. Firefox BattleAjax was born to provide desktop-like user experience. It seems more and more ppl are mastering javascript XML HTML CSS at the same time. Adobe noticed that and tried to give webdesigner another field --desktop to perform. So here is apollo.
I can't find another British company that is doing the same thing that I saw month ago. Before this article from gigaom, I believe it is only a competition between adobe and the british company and maybe Microsoft's WPF/e-platform. But Anne points out a real competitor firefox's offline application. And in the end, we found that there is no web battle field web without google's presence.
